The African Union of Conservationists (AUC) is an independent non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting modern environmental conservation practices across Africa. We work to bring together conservationists, organizations, and institutions to address the continent’s most pressing environmental challenges through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and sustainable solutions.
Our mandate is to facilitate joint efforts with national and international organizations, NGOs, community-based organizations (CBOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), local authorities, and governments. By building these partnerships, we ensure that conservation and development are not competing priorities but integrated efforts that benefit both people and the planet.
Building resilience for sustainable development by applying optimal strategies and practical solutions.
Through IUBS, AUC connects with scientific unions worldwide for shared learning and collaboration.
Sharing updated and reliable information to promote long-term environmental sustainability.
Advancing knowledge on human influence on the environment through collective scientific action.
Addressing environmental challenges through innovative measurement and analytical methods.
