Designing early warning conservation systems

Designing early warning conservation systems

Africa is most vulnerable to shocks and stresses which have increasingly become common not only in rural poor areas but also in fragile ecologically sensitive areas. Some of these can be short while others can be long term and they normally compromise welfare. Considering the workforce, research information, capacity, dissemination; AUC is designing early warning indicators and systems to be used in most risk areas, disasters for Africa. This will aim at safeguarding lives and increasing emergency responses, and management plans to arrest the situations.  The design is considering both indicators from a wide range such as (industrial-technological), social, economic, environmental, ecological, biodiversity and cultural as well. Priorities will be addressed from different issues regarding social groups but related to the environment in general.
