The discovery of new reliable knowledge in the context of research, technological innovations and the activity of conservation science is not far from each other. The best approach with the Union is defining both information of discovery and application. This is to say that the union will conduct research in nature based, cultural practices in all kinds but mainly those by indigenous groups, local communities’ adjacent critical ecosystems and also relative to technology as long as it meets the requirements laid for the process to allow promotion of environmental conservation and achieving its mission. However, some of our approaches may be criticized but we assume that cultural practices ought to be explored and demonstrate linkages with modern science. Our partners and chapters that will be opened in African countries may be considered to provide basic information that we will follow identified as a need. AUC is ultimately looking forward to identifying and advocating for best practices to arrest the change of environment in Uganda where it was founded and Africa’s rapidly developing and changing systems. Encourage adoption of these practices at the practical and political level through demonstrations, guidance material for and training of conservationists and the establishment of policy relevant working groups. Establish baseline data and appropriate indicators with which to monitor future trends in the environment.
